Cosmetic Tattoo
Semi Permanent Makeup
Pre-appointment
Before your appointment
7 days prior - Avoid blood thinning medications or spices, these include cinnamon, turmeric, aspirin, nurofen, fish/krill oil, and primrose oil.

24 hours prior - Avoid all forms of caffeine, this includes alcohol and drugs.

No exercise on the day of treatment, this includes taking pre workout or other supplements. Shower and wash your hair before coming in as this will help avoid getting any products into the tattoo.

If you have high/low blood pressure, heart conditions or are pregnant / breast feeding you must provide a doctor's note.

Avoid tinting and shaping your brows before your treatment, this ensures we will match the tattoo to your natural hair colour.
Keep in mind that a tattoo doesn't change the colour of the hairs so maintenance will be needed.

Aftercare
After your appointment
The healing process can take from 3 to 10 days and depends on each client. The night of your treatment, pat your tattoo with a clean damp cotton pad (provided to you). Apply a small amount of aftercare with clean fingers or cotton buds.

Apply this aftercare 3-5 times daily for 7 days or until the flaking has stopped. Do not use any other cream other than the one provided.
Do not apply makeup to the treatment areas.

Avoid getting the area wet for 7-10 days, this includes, swimming, sweating, showering and cleansing the face.

You may experience scabbing or peeling and the area may be tender, red and irritated, avoid picking your tattoo as this will hinder the healing process.
Maintenance
Ongoing tattoo aftercare
Avoid skin needling and laser treatments over the areas as they will destroy the pigment and cause burning and fading.
The use of some antibiotics and hormonal therapy can cause the tattoo to fade faster than normal.
The healed colour will always be 40% less dark than the initial tattoo.
Always protect your tattoos from the sun, wear SPF daily, use sunglasses and sun hats.
You will need a refresh every 1-3 years to keep your tattoos looking perfect, as these are semi-permanet.
